Whether the Dutch songwriter Simone van Vugt has done herself a favor with this. To turn the "E" in your project name, let's put it aside – because the name is hard to Google. But apart from that, Simone is actually easy to understand. In her songs, indie rock, industrial, psychedelia- but also new wave, dreampop and folk elements intersect and thus form the soundtrack for her self-discovery, heartbreak and empowerment songs, which were dressed in appealing musical coats by producer Tessa Rose Jackson with a great gesture. Musically, this ranges from abrasive ("Mmmi Mami") to sweet ("Millennial Sadness") and thoughtfully restrained ("May 22 Follow") as well as punchy / punky ("Gaslighter") to the alternative children's song "High Life". Interestingly, Simone, as a vocalist, adapts to the respective circumstances and presents herself in each song from a different characteristic perspective, which makes the whole thing immensely varied (even if the famous "mixtape effect" sets in as a result). It would not have been necessary to distort and tweak the vocals with effects in several songs at once – Simone would have solved this more convincingly by her versatility without effects alone.
