This CD is an out of print collectible! it's the CD released in 1988 by Warner Music Australia. in the late 1980's, Festival Records put out a series of CD's called "the Festival File", featuring a CD compilation of each artist. this CD, "the Festival File (Volume 8)" is the anthology they put out on Johnny Young and Kompany, a Western Australian 1960's group, with hits including "Step Back", "Cara- Lynn", "All My Lovin" and "When Will I Be Loved", an Everly Brothers cover. another Everly Brothers cover is here, "Let It Be Me". this CD features 20 of their recordings for Festival, and all the hits are here! unfortunately this is the only available compilation CD featuring Johnny Young, and is out of print and only available for a ridiculous price of $350.00". it was worth the time and effort to get this CD sent to me over from America from a friend, who ordered them and sent them over. Johnny Young is a Western Australian singer/ songwriter, and hosted the children's talent show, "Young Tallent Time". in the beginning of the 21st century, he hosted a breakfast radio show on the local 280 6IX, and he played a lot of Beatles as they were his favourite band. most of these cuts are all Beatles sound a likes for example, "Step Back", "Cara- Lynn" and "Kiss Me Now". there are heavy rockers here including "Willy Nilly" and "After Dark", with it's horns and strings. also here are 2 Bee Gees songs, "Craze Finton Kirk", which the Bee Gees backed Johnny Young up on when they were recording in Australia in the mid 60's. the other Bee Gees song here is "I Am the World". if you haven't heard this guy sing or never heard his radio show, now discontinued, you ought to give Johnny Young a listen. Tracks as follows. Step Back' Cara- Lynn' Kiss Me Now' When Will I Be Loved' Lady' Good Evening Girl' Good Morning, Mrs Willoby' It's a Sunny Day' Let It Be Me' All My Lovin' Every Chirstian Hearted Lying Hearted Man will Show You' Craze Finton Kirk' I Am the World' After Dark' Epitath to Mr Simon' Unconscientious Objecter' This Is My World' Mr Reagan 43' Willy Nilly' Devoted to You, with the goodnight Australia ending of "Young Tallent Time" as a hidden track, which plays "All My Lovin'", as Johnny says "Good Night, Australia!".
