Roxy Dekker - Mama I Made It (2025) Hi-Res

Roxy Dekker is pretty much THE pop girl in The Netherlands at the moment. She's 20 years old and has over 700k followers on TikTok. Her fame rised last year due to her single "Sugardaddy", which gaurnered her tons of streams and TikTok fame. She has released a few other singles over the past 6 months, but at midnight she released her debut album.

With all the love Roxy Dekker has gotten over the past year, she has also gotten quite a bit of hate, people saying her music is bad, that she is an Industry Plant and that her father paid for her fame. I can see where some of these negative comments come from, but overall I really enjoy her songs and this album, and some of them even grew on me from the first listen.

"Mama I Made It", which I added to the site, is from a lyrical standpoint an LP full of themes of Love, regret, heartbreak, lust, etc. So it's pretty typical for this style of music, but the lyrics work and they are enjoyable. Roxy Dekker is a great singer and she sings tons of very catchy melodies throughout this LP, and these are accompanied by banging production and cool instrumentals.

"Casual", "Ga Dan!" and "Proost" are all songs with the same vibe and they are all great bangers, "Guilty Pleasure", "1 Nacht", and "Gaan We Weg?" have cool features to their name that add some flavor to their tracks, the beforementioned "Sugardaddy" is a banger, "Satisfyer" and "Anne-Fleur Vakantie" are both older songs but both are quite catchy, "Over Datum" is nice, "Industry Plant" is her take on New Jack Swing and "Jouw Idee" is honestly a gorgeous, meaningful tearjerker.

"Mama I Made It" I just think is a fun, catchy, memorable, banging project from Dutch ground. The highlights here are great bangers and the lows still don't hurt the ears. I didn't love most of the tracks, but in all in all listening to this the second it released was a good idea.
