Clio Renner is a Melbourne born pianist, vocalist and songwriter. Renowned as the go-to keyboardist and session vocalist for a roll-call of Australian rock royalty including Angus and Julia Stone, Missy Higgins, Deborah Conway, Tim Rogers, Bob Evans, Alex Lahey, Killing Heidi, G Flip, Lisa Mitchell, Olympia and Do Re Mi, Renner has been a fixture of SBS TV’s much-loved music show ‘Rockwiz’ houseband.

A collection of songs born from the turbulence of the pandemic, Don’t Hurry the Dance captures moments of transformation, self-discovery, and resilience in the face of profound change.
What sets Clio apart is her ability to seamlessly navigate genres and styles, all while maintaining a sound and essence that is effortlessly and uniquely her own.
Each song feels like its own island, exploring real-life experiences—such as a parent's illness, a disappointing breakup, grappling with accountability in a capitalist society, and navigating adult friendships—always leading to a lesson learned and a hope for change.
A recurring theme runs throughout the album: the preciousness of life and the desire not to let it pass by, to not hurry the dance.

The record came to life across Naarm, and involved a collaborative force including co-producer Lawrence Folvig (Ainslie Wills), Pip Norman (Missy Higgins, Troye Sivan, Baker Boy), Madeleine Jevons (Penny Quartet, MSO), and Daniel Farrugia (Cat Empire, Angus and Julia Stone)

Clio has been tricky to miss on stage over the last decade. She has consistently toured and recorded with numerous notable Australian and international artists including Angus and Julia Stone, Paul Kelly, Remi Wolf, Missy Higgins, G Flip, Tim Rogers, Bob Evans, Alex Lahey, Killing Heidi and Olympia. Additionally, she has been the keyboardist for the beloved Rockwiz house band since 2015.
