There exists an intercontinental music from a country that doesn’t exist—a place where sounds can cross and converse freely, without baggage or passports. As warm as the snowdrifts of the Taiga, yet more refreshing than the languor of the sub-Saharan heat… The journey offered here explores and reclaims various musical traditions, more or less distant, attempting to create a sound with a fluid and ever-changing identity. Simple melodies inspire moments of improvisation that sometimes verge on trance. It’s the joy and the risk of blurring boundaries… «There are no seasons anymore,» or perhaps a fifth one, playing with convention. Aurélie Charneux, who masters the clarinet and improvises like no one else—fearless, limitless, and without any artificial additives—returns with new compositions alongside two fierce collaborators: Nicolas Puma (double bass) and Simon Leleux (percussion). The Prisma quartet adds an elegant string touch on several tracks of the album.
