Miklos Lukacs - Timeless (2024) [Hi-Res]

Miklos Lukacs, the Hungarian and international ambassador of dulcimer, returned to pure beauty on his new solo album after his contemporary and jazz music projects in recent years: he adapted the well-known songs of Lennon - McCartney, Sting, Morricone, Bernstein, Keith Jarrett, Harold Arlen and Seress Rezso to his instrument in order to express the timelessness of music in an acoustic and tonal framework. By processing, however, it should not be understood that he tries to get closer to the wider audience by playing popular songs on the dulcimer, but acts as a co-creator next to the author of the tracks. He performs well-known music in a manner equivalent to the contemporary canon, true to his own individuality and also highlighting the versatility of his instrument. The past of music history, sometimes in the image of classical music, sometimes jazz, sometimes in the image of traditional musical cultures, creeps into his arrangements as a fine spice, but at the same time the dulcimer artist focuses primarily on the present, not on musical prefigures,
The arrangements are complemented by his own composition, Aura – Hommage, in which Miklos Lukacs creates a new quality by combining understandable melodiousness and contemporary musical experience.
