Helmut Lotti is a unique figure on the vocal scene, an artist whose broad tastes and unconventional background help explain his widespread popularity: Lotti was most influenced by the singing and style of seemingly incompatible icons of the vocal world: Elvis Presley and Mario Lanza! Lotti, who once imitated Elvis, has sold almost 15 million albums worldwide, performing a wide repertoire that includes genres from pop to classical, from folk to Latin American music, from African to Russian. Moreover, he sings fluently in more than a dozen languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Flemish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Latin, Afrikaans and several other African languages (Swahili, Zulu and Xhosa).

With the help of musical assistants (Andre Walshaerts and orchestrator Wim Boe), he usually writes his own arrangements for the orchestra and composes the words for many songs. Lottie has appeared regularly on television around the world, including on the PBS channel. Since 1990, Lottie has been making about one record a year on several labels, including EMI, DPTV Media, Xxl, RCA, and others.

At the age of 19, he won second place in an Elvis Presley parody contest, which helped him launch his career. In his early years, he regularly sang in church and at school events, eventually developing a style inspired by his idol Elvis Presley.

Within a few years, recordings from the "Classic" recordings series followed, which became bestsellers. In 1997, Lottie signed a three-year contract with PBS and after that became a popular performer among the American audience. Two years later, Lotti turned to African songs with his album "Out of Africa" on the EMI label, which became another bestseller. In the same year, he made an extremely successful US tour, performing in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Washington and small American cities. Lotti continued to expand his repertoire, releasing the album Latino Classics in 2000 (on the Coeur De Lion label), and in 2004 the album From Russia with Love (on the Dptv label). He continued to explore new directions, usually with excellent results. Lottie's recordings include the Crooners album on two CDs, released in 2007 on the Dptv Media label.

In 2023, he presented a selection of his favorite heavy metal songs at the Graspop Metal Meeting. The album 2025 was born after a tour during which Helmut Lotti played one sold-out show after another, and in the summer he "decorated the cake" with the famous series of festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands, everyone had a burning question on their lips: will Helmut Lotti continue to engage in this genre? The answer we know today is an emphatic "YES"! On "Heart Rock", in addition to two of his own songs ("I Don't Wanna Cry Anymore" and "Seven Days And Seven Nights"), there are rousing covers of songs that Helmut has kept in his heart since his youth - these are his versions of Aerosmith, The Cranberries, Metallica, Judas Priest and Foreigner.
