Michele Franzini, Brian Lynch, Tito Mangialajo Rantzer, Massimo Pintori - Odd Stories (2005)

Two works by Michele Franzini Trio (featuring Tito Mangialajo Ranzer on bass and Massimo Pintori on drums) has been published by Abeat in 2001 (“My Smooth Corner” ABJZ008) and “Three Sides” in 2003 (ABJZ020). The trio is usually open to collaborations with major jazz artists like Emanuele Cisi, Lee Konitz, Andrea Dulbecco and others.
For this “all originals” work the trio has been joined by trumphet player Brian Lynch. During last 2 years the group has performed these “Modern Be-Bop/Contemporary Jazz” compositions all around Europe, mastering different moods and introducing advanced rhythmic and harmonic concepts.
Joining Franzini growing popularity in the European jazz piano scene with established Lynch fame and Pintori/Mangialajo maturity makes this album a real confirmation of this emerging Italian group high potential.
