The Jazz Live Trio, consisting of Swiss jazz players Klaus Koenig (piano), Peter Frei (bass) and Peter Schmidlin, accompanied on two nights tenorist Sal Nistico and reedplayer Tony Scott, both renowned musicians from the US. Scott toured Europe at that time, whereas Nisitico had already become a Swiss resident until his untimely death 1991 in Berne. The album delivers fiery artistry, especially from Nistico's side. The trio behind these heavyweights acts with superior flexibility and hard groove.
