Gerald Thomas "G.T." Moore (born May 2, 1949, in Reading, Berkshire, England) is an English singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his contributions to reggae, folk, and roots music. He began his musical journey in the late 1960s, initially performing with local bands before co-founding the folk-rock group Heron. Heron gained recognition for recording their albums outdoors, capturing a unique acoustic ambiance.
In 1973, Moore formed G.T. Moore and the Reggae Guitars, one of the pioneering British bands to blend reggae rhythms with Western musical elements. The group released two albums under the Charisma label and toured extensively across the UK and Europe. Throughout his career, Moore collaborated with notable artists such as Johnny Nash, Lee "Scratch" Perry, and Poly Styrene, contributing his guitar skills and production expertise to various projects.
