The Adekaem - Pictures From Sierra Morena (2025) [Hi-Res]

Already before the release of the "All The Dreams" album in 2023 our band started to com-pose new music. As it used to be in the past the early outline of new pieces allowed to supposed that this time these will be longer and more complicated forms, contrary to those on previous album. From around a dozen of drafts we chose 5 songs for a new album. All of them came to life between July of 2022 and August of 2024, when we finished our recording session.

The album will be titled "Pictures From Sierra Morena", taken from the track number one. The track is inspired by novel by Jan Potocki (written at the turn of the XVIII and XIX centuries) - The Manuscript Found In Saragossa and a movie directed by Wojciech Has in 1964 of the same title. Stylistically it is the most diverse work of The Adekaem at both musical and lyrical levels. Starting with classical music, through progressive rock,hard rock and ending on world music; from love poems, through fairy, dreamlike pieces, to socially engaged protest-song.

The premiere of the title track, and a promo single at the same time - "Pictures From Sierra Morena" took place at 15th November 2024 on Youtube, Bancamp and in good radio stations. The title track, similar to the book and movie, will be a kind of "box novel", where parts are connected to each others.

The album will be produced and released by The Adekaem band (and distributed by LYNX Music) which consist (with no changes since release of "Sound Coloring" in 2017) of Andrzej Bielas - keyboards, synths, backing vocals and Krzystof Wala - guitars, guitar synth, voice, backing vocals and, for the second time as a full member, Jakub Basoń - Words. All music is composed by Andrzej Bielas and Krzystof Wala. The band still works in Tychy where it records (keys, synths, guitars, backing vocals, voices), mixes and pre produces the material in it's own recording studio. Traditionally, the visuals will be by a painter from Częstochowa Krzysztof Żyngiel, who let us use his art. We invited our musicians friends - Paweł Wietrzyński - drums and Michał Wala (surname samnes accidental). Both are appearing on our album for the first time. We also invited again Daniel Kurtyka as a vocalist, know from "All The Dreams" album and from the band "Lizard" where he plays guitar and his own project "Imaginarium". Drums and bass tracks were recorded in February of 2024 in Paweł Wietrzyński's Studio Records in Sosnowiec. The vocals were registered in Heaven’s Sound Marcin Piekło in Jasieniac in August of 2024. Synths, keyboards, and guitars were record in band's studio in Tychy between July of 2022 to April of 2024. Material was mixed between June of 2023 to December of 2024. Mastering was done between September of 2024 and December of 2024 in Kosa Buena Studio in Chrzanów.
