The album Facta sunt offers a panorama of Polish music for female choir (mainly a cappella) interpreted by one of the most successful ensembles of its specialty – the BIAŁYSTOK FEMALE CHOIR at the III General Secondary School in Białystok, conducted by Anna Olszewska. It contains religious pieces and “secular” compositions written by renowned artists representing various musical environments in Poland: Magdalena Filipska, Szymon Godziemba-Trytka, Marcin Gumiela, Zuzanna Koziej, Jan Krutul, Marcin T. Łukaszewski, Michał Malec, Marek Raczyński, Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk, Michał Sławecki, Tomasz Szczepanik and the Spanish Eva Ugalde Alvarez. In terms of the cast, all scores use, as is obvious, a female choir part: mostly a cappella, but also with piano or trumpet accompaniment, as well as a cappella with sonoristic elements and percussion effects performed by the choristers. The repertoire is therefore highly diversified and contrasted, which allows one to see how many possibilities lie dormant in the cast of the female choir. Twelve of the fourteen pieces have their phonographic premiere. The recorded compositions performed by the young singers from Białystok are distinguished by true mastery.
