Praful - One Day Deep (2001)

One Day Deep is to date Praful's most successful album, presenting a mix of Lounge, Jazz and World Music, with a lot of Indian and Brazilian flavours. Acoustic meets electronic in a contemporary production. Contains up and down tempo songs - instrumentals mixed with vocal songs, sung by Praful and Zuco103-singer Lilian Vieira. A US-Billboard-top-10-selling album which includes the #1 US-radio hit SIGH. This album propelled Praful and his music onto the international stage and its songs were included in more than 100 Compilations world-wide. It was his first of 3 ChillOut/Lounge-inspired releases for the Amsterdam-based record label Therapy Records.

One Day Deep is sensual and hypnotic music that employs sax and flutes, down tempo jazzy and chilled grooves, western dance vibes, Brazilian rhythms and Indian flavours. A crossover between world music and electronics.
Praful was assisted by international guest musicians such as Afra Mussawisade (percussion, Iran/Germany), Ted de Jong (tabla, Holland), Adrian Elissen (Spanish guitar, Malta), Jos Lopretti (bass, Uruguay) and the Brazilian mystery singer Algodao Doce.
