District 97 - Live For The Ending (2025)

Over three nights in three very different cities, and in
front of prog rock legends such as Tony Levin, Pat
Mastelotto, and Steve Rothery, District 97 performed
their entire critically-acclaimed ‘Stay for the Ending’
album, start to finish. ‘Live for the Ending’ puts the
listener right in the thick of the powerful, visceral
experience that is District 97 live.

The music was recorded in three locations: Chicago in
2022, and on consecutive nights in The Netherlands and
London on the 2023 Stay for the Ending tour.

Jonathan from the band explains: "As much as I’d love
to play for all our fans many times over, it’s not always
possible to make it to everyone’s town. Hence, I’m
thrilled to make ‘Live for the Ending’ available to
anyone who wants a dose of high-octane D97. It features
the entirety of ‘Stay for the Ending’, which we all
consider our best studio album to date, as well as some
additional special selections. Performing this demanding
music live without the aid of a recording studio is no
easy feat, but the five of us playing together on one
stage lends an urgency and immediacy to the material
that makes for a heck of an exciting listen!

Leslie from the band adds "It is such a rush to perform
these songs on a shared stage with my bandmates,
especially after mastering each song within the confines
of the vocal booth. These live recordings are the end
result of a really tight band that knows the material
inside and out and is able to stretch out musically,
keeping the listener on their toes as well as each other."
