Toto - Live In Japan 1980 (2021)

To most young people today, Toto are known almost exclusively for their hits from 1982, Africa and Rosanna. However, the band's journey to this arguable peak began far before this, originally emerging in 1977-78. This performance from Koseinenkin Kaikan, Shinjuku, Tokyo, March 12th 1980 therefore presents a highly rare opportunity to experience the band's evolution and growth: a growth which would soon result in the band boasting six Grammy wins, and a further four nominations. Soon after the release of their second album, Hydra, and on their first ever-international tour, Toto reveal a more matured, skillful, and funky side to their already expert reputation.
