The origin of Diana Ross & the Shupremes, their classic 1962 debut is back on vinyl! The debut album (1962) of Motown Records' first girl group "The Supremes" is a stable album featuring Smokey Robinson, Lamont Dodger and others. It reached No. 8 in the U.K. and was a milestone album that served as a stepping stone to the next album and beyond. The album features not only songs such as the euphoric pop song "Let Me Go The Right Way," but also medium and slow songs such as the debut single "I Want A Guy," the chart-topping "Your Heart Belongs To Me," and the a capella "Play A Sad Song," which is a great hit in the U.K. This is a well-balanced album that skillfully absorbs the trends of the time, such as Doo-Wop and Motown Soul.
