I have a home theater system (nothing to do with my pc). Could you guide me as to how to play these files and hear them in Atmos?

you need the ability to play all the channels, so a surround channel receiver and surround speakers and then some kind of player

i use a streaming box called Egreat, but you could use a nvidia shield or any other streaming box that will play .m4a

i have the yamaha rxa8a and 9.2 sound speakers and works great
