ZINNIA has a way of spinning tiny mirrors til they catch the light like disco. This is music as a bedazzled catharsis of divorce anthems, rebound ragers, and indie ballads. ZINNIA is the extended art of Rachael Cardiello - a classically trained violist raised in the mountains of Montana who has spent half her life touring, performing, and recording in Toronto as a session player. ZINNIA can often be found in full band collaboration with Chris Pruden, Kat McLevey and Mackenzie Longpre. ZINNIA's upcoming album Dollar Store Disco marks an epoch of perseverance: one part broken, one part rage, and one part escapism.
