Sound and architecture are interconnected and create a magical interaction. In the past, people communicated with each other through majestic buildings, but today fluid architecture reflects space with sound. The album ‘Even The Horizon Knows Its Bounds’ is based on the Naala Badu building at the Art Gallery of NSW, and aims to offer atmosphere to visitors. This composition also manifests the porosity of sound and serves as a collaborative tool. The work incorporates the sounds of multiple artists who have also worked in the gallery. The composition was created from sound fragments contributed by each musician, and without their contributions it could not exist. The final note on the record suggests that place is an evolving, subjective experience of space, and that architecture and human encounters are forever collapsing into memory.
