Akasaka Rare Groove brings back the '60s Akasaka nights with rare recordings of soul, jazz, bossa, and Latin. This is the second installment of the rare recording project following the much-talked-about "Ryukyu Rare Groove." This compilation of precious recordings that could be called Japanese jazz mondo, recorded in Akasaka (Nichi Ongaku) between the 1960s and 1970s, has been supervised and selected by Comoesta Yaegashi. It has been reborn with high-quality sound. A gorgeous, elegant, mysteriously modern sound, now!
We hope you will enjoy this Japanese mondo as a work of subculture eccentricity. Recorded more than 30 years ago, it is still quite groovy to listen to now. Just listen to it and you will smile and understand.
