Mapaná Music is a Latin American Live Duo (based in Colombia) of electronic music of folkloric roots (folktronica) , integrated by the producers: Mauricio Araya aka Mr. Toé (Chile) and Juan Henao aka Juan Nativo (Colombia); both exploring the fusion of analog machines such as: synthesizers, drum machines, electronic drums and sequencers, adding the warmth of multiple acoustic instruments and rustic native drums.
The duo dives into a jungle Universe of deep and cosmic tribal sounds that connect with the root of the animal being, while exploring the latest sound technologies through their machines played live.
¨Serpiente de Fuego” contains 7 songs that explore the archetype of the serpent and its cosmological meaning for the different ancestral cultures that venerated this mythical being, which meant: wisdom, medicine, renovation and transformation. Concepts that are explored in the album and are tried to be captured in sonic terms through each of the songs.
