Rare recordings of Andrés Segovia and his contemporary guitarist colleagues playing works by well-known and forgotten composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The album contains a live recording of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco's Guitar Concerto No. 1 from the 1955 Lucerne Festival with Segovia, as well as other solo, duo and quartet recordings from the years 1928-1955. In addition to Segovia, Luise Walker, the Cuarteto Aguilar, Antonio & Nélida Sinópoli, Victor Doreste & Ignacio Rodriguez, Bartolome Calatayud & Graciano Tarrago and the duo Consuelo Mallo-Lopez & María Herminia Antola can also be heard.
