Per Gessle continues the tradition of releasing music in connection with his birthday on 12th January, and in 2025, he offers something truly special.
Mats Olsson, journalist, author, and good friend, wrote a fantastic book (De ensamma pojkarna) about a Swedish pop band from the ’60s. A brilliant idea was born that Nisse Hellberg (Wilmer X) and I would try to write a “soundtrack” for his book. I made my demos with MP and Micke Syd during two intense days in July 1995 down in Halmstad, and now MP has mixed them to the point where you are amazed at how fun music can be!
These 7 fantastic power pop songs are now being released in a refined form with completely new mixes as a 12″ vinyl in a limited edition on 10th January.
