Martin Denny - Exotic Percussion (1961)

Martin Denny - Exotic Percussion (1961)

BAND/ARTIST: Martin Denny

Released in 1961, Exotic Percussion was arguably the last of Martin Denny and his great first band’s output. Melodic yet weird and futuristic, it was way ahead of its time and signposted the spacey and psychedelic sound that Denny would soon pursue wholeheartedly. Features ‘Misirlou’ (later covered as a surf rock track on Pulp Fiction) and ‘Moonlight On The Ganges’ which is to this day used as music for Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise attraction.
