The Lee Kings, a Swedish pop group formed in September 1964, initially featured lead vocalist Lenne Broberg (ex-Lenne And His Falcons, The Adventures) and Bengt Dahlén (ex-G-Men), who met during military service. Billed as "Lenne and the Lee Kings," they signed with Sonet/Gazell. Their debut single, "Always And Ever / Stop The Music," initially flopped in Sweden but topped Finnish charts in summer 1965. After Finnish touring, re-recorded versions found Swedish success in early 1966, with "Stop The Music" reaching number one on the Tio i Topp chart. Following another hit, the group dropped "Lenne" from their name, becoming simply The Lee Kings. Bassist Olle Nordström left, replaced by Dahlén, and they signed with RCA Victor.
