Marcel Wave is an English band formed by Lindsay Corstorphine and Christopher Murphy of Sauna Youth, and brothers Oliver and Patrick Fisher of Cold Pumas. Their debut album is a walk in the pub where the focus is on the listener. The lyrics, written by Micah Hale-Jones, have a sense of foreboding, elegy and sarcasm. The themes of urban renewal, decay, and disillusionment are evident in the songs. The lyrics describe the actresses' various fates and reflect existential dread.
