Flying Bantu is a Zimbabwean music group from Victoria Falls. Their music combines various styles including Rock, Reggae and Funk, and they often describe their sound as Fusion. The band released a five-track EP called Cruising Attitude in 2017, and in March 2019, their ten-track album Ceasefire was released, including the song “Sunshine City,” which earned them the 2019 NAMA Award for Best Music Video.
Flying Bantu also have an impressive live show. They were chosen to open for Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi's concert and have shared the stage with big names such as MiCasa and Black Coffee. They have also performed at Miombo Magic Music Festival, one of Zimbabwe's leading music events, alongside other big name artists. Thus, Flying Bantu are quickly becoming recognizable and regular contributors to the African music scene.
