Alexis Taylor presents his new album Listen With(out) Piano, which is a companion to his previous LP Piano. The album, released on the Moshi Moshi label, features new versions of songs from artists such as Papa M, Green Gartside, Spring Heel Jack, Beatrice Dillon and Brian DeGraw. These tracks can be listened to on their own or in conjunction with songs from the Piano album to create a unique listening experience.
The album features the work of eleven select musicians who were chosen to create new tracks in response to songs from the Piano album. Listener With(out) Piano can be listened to as a standalone album, but can also be synchronized with the original recordings of songs from the Piano album to create a new and amazing listening experience. Alexis explains that the results of working on the album were amazing and this new album can be used as an electroacoustic ambient companion to the Piano record or as alternate versions of the songs.
