Spanish composer and creator Ibon Errazkin, known for his unique approach to music, has released a new album, Claros Del Bosque. His work, both in his solo projects and with bands (AVENTURAS DE KIRLIAN, LE MANS, SINGLE), as well as his production credits (e.g., Carlos Berlanga and NOSOTRÄSH), always carries a distinct, personal touch.
The album, inspired by María Zambrano’s book Claros Del Bosque, is a collection of 10 songs, each a fragment of a longer piece that will be released later under the title Nubes Y Claros. The music relies on minimalist instrumentation (guitars, piano, bass, melodica, banjo, synthesizers) with no percussion, focusing on free-flowing musical moments without strict structure. Exceptions are two songs, “El Río” and “La Vía Láctea,” which add a pop touch to the album.
The album cover was designed by Javier Aramburu, who transformed Errazkin into a grove of trees, highlighting the philosophical and mystical nature of the project. The music videos for the album, filmed in Tangier by Antonio Morales, are inspired by Malaysian director Tsai Ming-Liang’s work, creating a meditative walking experience.
