GINGA RALE BAND was a jazz rock group from Salzbug formed in 1977 by Pipi FURZ and Rainer HOCHRAINER. Joined by Paul HOCHRAINER, Rupi MULLER, Josef OPPACHER, Al SUSIE, Peter WILLERT and Gunther HUMPL, the group went through name iterations from GINGER ALE BAND in the 70's and then GINGA RALE as they started to let in more new wave influence on their music and leave their jazz and krautrock influences behind. They disbanded in 1984 after releasing their second album 'Information'.
