*Vincent Taeger, renowned for his collaborations with musical legends, has released his vocal album "OK Crooner". Formerly the drummer for Poni Hoax, he used to sing whimsically in French backstage, but now he has turned this into a central part of his music. The album blends pop, jazz, and baroque, drawing inspiration from French chanson classics and the legacy of Tony Allen. The songs feature refined arrangements and witty lyrics, influenced by artists like Souchon and Christophe. The recording includes the jazz sextet "Jazz Kamasutra" and Taeger's close collaborators.
The project was recorded at home with co-producer La Plongée and partially at Studio Ferber. This marks a pivotal work in Taeger's discography, where his voice is featured openly and naturally for the first time. Recently, he also participated in a tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto and a project by Yannis Philippakis (Foals). A new project is planned for September 2025, and filmmaker Bertrand Perrin is preparing a documentary about Taeger.
