Shaquille O'Neal - You Can't Stop the Reign (1996)

Released a week after The Best of Shaquille O'Neal, You Can't Stop the Reign demonstrates that the basketball player is continuing to improve as a rapper. Of course, he is helped by a bevy of guest stars, including Mobb Deep, the Notorious B.I.G., Fat Joe, Bobby Brown and Jay-Z, but what makes the album noteworthy is how Shaq's rapping has improved. Of course, even his improved speed and versatility can't excuse the occasional pedestrian funk of the backing tracks, but You Can't Stop the Reign remains enjoyable, nevertheless.~You Can't Stop the Reign Review by Leo Stanley
