Vicente Fernández, the legend of Mexican music and the King of Mariachi, presents his first album in the banda style — "Vicente Fernández con Banda", supported by his son Vicente Fernández Jr. and Sony Music México. This historic project, recorded 13–14 years ago, includes 13 tracks, five of which are completely new, while the others are banda classics, including "Mi Gusto Es." The album has been updated while preserving the original arrangements, under the direction of Alberto Lizárraga, grandson of the legendary Don Cruz Lizárraga.
The project remained a well-kept secret for many years due to the complexity of combining mariachi and a full banda ensemble. Today, nearly three years after Fernández’s passing, the album showcases his enduring legacy. With over 70 million records sold and numerous awards, including 4 GRAMMY® and 9 Latin GRAMMY® awards, Vicente Fernández continues to be a cultural and musical icon in Latin America.
