Aloha Got Soul presents “Mix Plate”, a compilation of new music from up-and-coming artists based in Hawai'i. The label, previously known primarily for reissues from the 1970s and 1980s, has decided to support contemporary artists as well. All the artists on this compilation are connected to Hawai'i, whether through their origins or their decision to return there. Their common goal is to actively shape the sound of Hawai'i and express their identity and roots in their music. “Mix Plate” will be released on November 29, 2024 on limited edition black vinyl as well as in digital form. The album symbolizes the importance of respecting the past while developing a distinct identity and sound for today's generation of Hawaiian musicians.
