The recording was made possible thanks to the efforts of pianist Aleksandra Hałat and violinist Marcin Hałat, who retrieved the manuscripts of the Polish composer stored in American archives, transcribed and prepared the performance editions of the music. Dr. Aleksandra Hałat, a lecturer at the Institute of Music at the University of Silesia, has been conducting research to restore the memory of Polish composers who worked in the United States and has been actively promoting their music through numerous concerts and festivals worldwide.

Jerzy Fitelberg, the son of the renowned conductor Grzegorz Fitelberg, spent most of his life abroad: he studied in Berlin, worked in Paris, and in New York, where the majority of his artistic legacy is archived. His neoclassical compositions, which are demanding in terms of performance, gained favorable reviews during his lifetime and were performed by prominent virtuosos of the era, though his music is little known in Poland.

During the premiere concert, two of his works will be performed: Preludium for Violin and Piano (1938) and Sonata for Violin and Piano (1932). Additionally, the concert will feature music by Roman Palester and Karol Szymanowski. The performers will be Aleksandra Hałat (piano), Marcin Hałat (violin), and Agnieszka Marucha (viola). The concert will be led by Lech Dzierżanowski.
