Møborg 2 - Falling Silent (2024) [Hi-Res]

Falling Silent refers to a “Der Spiegel” interview, the sad subject matter of which inspired me to write the piece of music of the same name in the summer of 2019. Just eight months later, it was human civilization itself that fell silent: with the lockdowns imposed in the wake of the pandemic, life in the cities froze…

The aesthetics of the music of Møborg 2, although recorded in times of increasing political, geopolitical and ecological uncertainty (the latter is also referred to in the piece Falling Silent), do not want to subordinate themselves to this zeitgeist in terms of sound. It is not characterized by cacophonous clichés and “noise music”, but is melodically and harmonically almost exclusively consonant.
