Mira Kendô began as a culture-bridging collaboration between kora player Braima Galissa (Guiné Bissau) and producer Jori Collignon (Netherlands/Portugal), but it quickly grew into a tight group with Eliseu Imbana Forna (Guiné Bissau) on guitars & bass, and Gonçalo Santos (Portugal) on drums. After the group’s presentation at Le Guess Who? festival in the Netherlands in 2023, Mira Kendô now release their debut album on Gris Gris Records.
