Full Spectrum Records presents Sonic Talismans, a collaborative LP by Liang YiYuan and Li Daiguo, limited to 100 copies. Both artists are key figures in China’s experimental music scene, blending traditional aesthetics with electronic music, free improvisation, and the avant-garde. Their partnership began in 2010, inspired by dark forest spirits from Chinese folklore.
Recorded in Dali, Yunnan in 2021, the album showcases YiYuan’s yangqin and Daiguo’s mix of guzheng, pipa, bawu, and more. This LP is their first widely available outside China, offering an immersive, narrative-driven exploration of intention through a unique cross-cultural sound.
