Eskelina's new album, Korrespondens, offers a blend of folk, traditional music, and chanson, creating a bridge between her two homelands, Sweden and France. Featuring violin, Irish flute, mandolin, electric guitar, bass, and vintage synths, the album reflects on nature, people, and the passage of time. In the summer of 2023, Eskelina and five musicians traveled from Paris to Blekinge, Sweden, where they recorded a live album surrounded by beech forests and Baltic archipelagos. The album includes 12 songs: 7 French tracks co-written by Eskelina and Diego Gernais, and 5 Swedish poems by Nobel laureate Tomas Tranströmer set to music. Influences range from Scandinavian traditional music to American folk à la Joni Mitchell, yet the sound remains personal and unique.
