ITZY will release their new mini album 'GOLD' and the title track 'GOLD' and 'Imaginary Friend' on October 15.

ITZY, who appeared like a comet in the music industry on February 12, 2019 with the digital single 'IT'z Different' and the title track 'Dalla Dalla', has been captivating fans' hearts with their solid skills, powerful performances, and various charms, and has been showing off their presence as a 'representative 4th generation K-pop girl group'. Recently, they have been expanding their global presence by performing 32 concerts in 28 regions around the world with their mini album 'BORN TO BE' and their world tour of the same name, 'ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR [BORN TO BE]', which was released on January 8.

The new album 'GOLD' is based on the theme of "Our World is still different" and contains ITZY's story and music that shines brightly like the album title. They established the group's unique color with challenging yet enterprising energy and unique concept, and melted the album message of "We are still different and will continue to be" into various visual contents. In the trailer video, the five members show off their unique appearances that break away from the typical mold, maximizing their uniqueness. The teaser image also boldly and uniquely expresses their individuality with their unique styling and extraordinary momentum, further revealing ITZY's musical color and identity.

In particular, this album presents double title tracks for the first time since their debut. The title song 'GOLD' of the new album and the same name expresses the overwhelming emotions and unfamiliar feelings of the moment when 'my' world completely changes after meeting 'you' by comparing it to the sparkling 'GOLD'. The song is a harmonious crossover of the rock sound of the intense electric guitar, groovy drums, and the hip-hop sound of the 808 bass, and the powerful vocal shouting and charismatic rapping that dominate the atmosphere stand out. The 'GOLD' music video, which depicts the story of those who seek gold being attracted to ITZY who shines even brighter than them, adds unrealistic elements to the real world with wit and scale, presenting a unique charm.

Another title song, 'Imaginary Friend', is a pop dance song that combines vintage pop guitar, acoustic band sounds, and sweet vocal harmonies. The ambiguous lyrics maximize the imagination of the listeners and increase the fun of listening, as the one who appears in a fantasy one day and says he will protect me and give me strength is either an angel or a devil, or myself.

The new album contains a total of 11 tracks including the two title tracks, "Bad Girls R Us," "Supernatural," the fan song "FIVE" commemorating the group's 5th debut anniversary, "VAY (Feat. Changbin of Stray Kids)" featuring Changbin of Stray Kids, and the final versions of "BORN TO BE," "UNTOUCHABLE," "Mr. Vampire," "Dynamite," and "Escalator" from the previous album completed by the five members. The album's completeness was enhanced by the credits of renowned writers including K-pop hit maker Ryan Jhun, famous American producer Dem Jointz who has worked with many pop stars, and popular lyricists Jo Yoon-kyung and Bang Hye-hyun. In particular, track 6 was produced and featured by Stray Kids' Changbin, who showed off special musical chemistry with ITZY.
