Denise Murray - What You Mean To Me (1997)

Born in Toronto, raised in Salem, MA, but now calling New Brunswick her stomping grounds, Denise Murray has paid her proverbial dues to music. At age 13, after suffering a near fatal illness in Gillain-Barre Syndrome, Murray spent two years recuperating. At the same time, she started playing the guitar. After playing in local bars in New Brunswick, she entered a 1995 country talent contest, placing third behind Paul Brandt. In 1997, she released her debut album, What You Mean to Me. After signing to Loggerhead Records and winning a 1999 East Coast Music Award as Country Artist of the Year, Murray released her second album, Under the Moon, in August 2001.~Denise Murray Biography by Jason MacNeil
