On October 11th, we will co-release Adrien Kanter’s second solo album, Mont Falco. Somewhere between film music, progressive electro and cosmic folk-rock, it is a beautiful narrative record, which was conceived by its author as a mountain walk.
The world of the hexagonal underground only has eyes for Adrien Kanter. And for good reason, the guy has a CV that would make more than one salivate: Looking For John G, Le Réveil des Tropiques, Eddie 135 and others. But it is solo that he shines the most, the proof being his new album entitled Mont Falco.
And I can tell you that Adrien Kanter will know how to transport us very far. Mont Falco weaves a very fine link between psych-folk, post-rock, lo-fi and noise for an extraordinary musical journey. A journey beginning with a peaceful and ethereal "K-Wilde" before venturing towards psychedelic lands on "Skin Elevates Sound" and on "No Rain Down" both moving and scintillating which are sublimated by the solemn interpretation of our host.
Mont Falco hypnotizes and fascinates us from start to finish and that's a fact. Whether on "Le soleil sur le lit" where noisy and jazzy incursions are felt or on the meditative "Wind FloW" more ambient in spirit, Adrien Kanter masters the atmospheres and influences as he should while propelling his music to high spheres. As serene on "Thème de Rachel" as disturbing on "A New Dawn", the French musician amazes with this captivating musical journey full of surprises that will charm us a little more with each listening.
