J'ai mal à mon folklore, the sixth album from trad trio De Temps Antan, comes in a special context, as the group celebrates its 20th anniversary this year! To mark this festive milestone, the group is releasing a very solid album, based on a desire to push the complicity of its members even further.
J'ai mal à mon folklore is a 10-track album with a sound aesthetic reminiscent of the rock and progressive rock bands of the '70s, and is intended as a bridge to further connect with audiences in Quebec and beyond. It includes four songs from the traditional Quebec repertoire and two from popular song (Aglaé by Lionel Daunais and Le Reel de piasses by JF LaMothe), rearranged in the De Temps Antan style. The four original instrumental trad pieces will appeal to local audiences as well as those in English-speaking Canada, the USA, the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, among others.
