Unlike the usual focus on Indian Ocean music, this series brings a variety of genres back into the spotlight. The first release is the album Les Îles Du Désert by French musician Loy Erlich. The album is a mixture of smooth jazz and easy listening. Loy Erlich, also known as a member of Carrousel and Hadouk Trio, has worked with renowned musicians such as Didier Malherbe, Alain Peters, Vasis Diop, Ja Pinpin and Sophie Hellborg. This album presents a different side of Loy Ehrlich's talent and immerses listeners in soothing soundscapes. This reissue is designed to help new listeners discover and appreciate his mastery. Further releases in the Babani Archive series will focus on other lost musical gems from around the world.
