With his music deeply rooted in Congolese culture, musician, singer, composer, and trumpeter Yeremia Vindu is an artist passionate about Jazz and the culture of peace and diversity it fosters.
Since 2019, Yeremia Vindu has been bringing the sounds and music of Kivu and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the forefront from the city of Goma with his vibrant music, which he affectionately calls Jazz-Rumba.
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1995, Yeremia Vindu belongs to a generation of young Congolese for whom music is a powerful therapeutic tool and a means of conveying hope in communities that have known only war for over three decades. For him, these sufferings have been his only reality.
Since 2019, Yeremia Vindu has performed numerous concerts in the region, including Goma, Kampala in Uganda, and Kinshasa, providing a platform for other young musicians passionate about Jazz through the Jazz-Rumba Experience.
After extensively exploring the possibilities of combining Jazz with Nande music, Soukous, Rumba, and other diverse sounds from his region, Yeremia Vindu is about to launch his album titled "Karibu," a Swahili word meaning "welcome" and "it's not far." This album invites listeners into a musical world that advocates hope and human well-being for all, showcasing the rich sounds of traditional musical diversity combined with the colors of Jazz.
