This recording is a special Adventist service with music, lessons and prayer, as is done in Salisbury.
As one would expect from the cathedral, which is the Mother of the Anglican Liturgy, the service presented is of the highest level. Prayers are pronounced clearly. The lessons are well chosen, the music is impressive.
The cathedral is a huge space, and because it is mostly made of stone and glass, the acoustics are very lively. Music, prayer and reading should be kept at a careful pace so that reverberation does not turn the sound into a muddy stream. The pace is perfect.
This record is not just for believers.
It's great to hear a real choir in action at an authentic worship service in an ideal setting!
