The release of Cameron Undy's 2021 Bloodshot album coincides with the reissue of his modern masterpiece, 20th Century Dog’s debut 2005 album, Mad Stream. Originally released on the now defunct Jazzgroove Records, Earshift Music are proud to partner with Undy to celebrate this high-point of mid-‘00s Sydney contemporary jazz. Featuring some of the scene’s top players, including guitarist Carl Dewhurst, drummer Simon Barker, saxophonist Matt Keegan and keyboardist Gerard Masters, the album has gone on to inspire a generation of Australian improvising musicians with its combination of funk, afro-beat and idiosyncratic odd-meter rhythms.
