Lori Andrews - Pulling Strings (2002)

Lori Andrews, one of jazz's top harp players, often gets quite funky on this set which is co-led by bassist Bart Samolis who contributed all of the originals. Joined on various tracks by a variety of Los Angeles-based musicians (including altoist Eric Marienthal on two numbers), Andrews' electric harp is usually in the lead as she shows how surprisingly flexible her heavenly instrument can be.
