Tomohiro Ushida was introduced as a great talent of the future on TV Asahi's "Untitled Concert" broadcast in October 2011, and has been receiving a great response. Tomohiro Ushida, now 12 years old, won the first prize at a piano competition in Shanghai at the age of 5. He has also won the first prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia since he was 8 years old, an unprecedented accomplishment for four consecutive years in each category. He is also highly acclaimed by world-renowned pianists such as Lang Lang and Hiroko Nakamura for his performances. In the fall of 2011, Tomohiro Ushida signed an exclusive contract with Universal Music, becoming the youngest classical Japanese pianist in history to make his CD debut.
