Contemporary works for the flute have been created gradually since the spring of 2019, when the flutist approached five authors and long-term friends who wrote a custom piece for her. In them, Lenka Kozderková also uses her excellent improvisation skills, electronics or loopers.

"When it comes to interpreting, performing, promoting, popularizing and inspiring contemporary music, Lenka Kozderková has been one of the leading personalities of the Czech music scene for several decades. She participated — and is participating — in a number of innovative projects, often with an international dimension, and she also contributes to the portfolio of contemporary music with her own work. During her years of activity on the music scene, she initiated the creation of original compositions by many composers, for whom her broad artistic scope — in addition to classical playing, she controls, uses and passes on to her students new techniques of the 20th century, works with electronics and is a master of improvisation — is a constant inspiration.
Composers take advantage of her ability — proven in improvisation — to respond to immediate sound stimuli and incorporate her expressions into structured music.
All five compositions not only offer listeners an unusual musical experience, but given that there are not so many contemporary compositions for solo flute, they could also become an enriching part of the repertoire of other flutists."
